Chromium

Together with niacin and certain amino-acids, chromium assists insulin in regulating glucose and fat metabolism. And scientists now believe that it may also be involved in DNA and RNA metabolism. A person eating a varied diet should get more than enough chromium. An overdose of chromium from food (trivalent chromium) is unheard of. However, chromium salts are toxic.

Good sources of chromium include peanuts and peanut butter, prunes, corn, chicken,  mushrooms, tomatoes, green vegetables, onions, pears, potatoes, apples, lean meat, oysters, milk, and eggs.
